The Story

Rayan was a travel blogger who loved exploring abandoned places. One rainy evening, while driving through a quiet countryside road, his car broke down near Hillview Village. Locals told him about an old mansion at the edge of the forest — Hillview House — where nobody lived for over fifty years. Curiosity won. With his camera and flashlight, Rayan entered the house just as the thunder rolled. The air inside was cold. The wooden floor creaked with every step. Family portraits still hung on the walls, their faces covered in dust — yet their eyes seemed to follow him. He whispered to his camera, “If ghosts are real, this place should have plenty.” Suddenly, a whisper came from the hallway. “You shouldn’t be here…” Rayan froze. He thought it was the wind, but the voice grew louder. The sound of footsteps followed. He turned his flashlight — nothing. Only darkness. Upstairs, a door slammed shut. His heart pounded. He forced himself to open it and found an old nurserybroken toys scattered across the floor. A small rocking

chair moved slowly… by itself. Then he saw it — a faint shadow of a woman in white, standing behind the mirror. Her hollow eyes stared directly into his. Rayan screamed and dropped the camera. The screen flickered, capturing one last image — the woman’s pale face smiling. The next morning, villagers found his car still outside the gate. The door of Hillview House was open… but Rayan was never seen again. Only his camera remained — showing a final video of the rocking chair moving alone, whispering softly: “He’s still here…” Ending Note Even today, people in Hillview Village say that on stormy nights, you can hear footsteps echoing from inside Hillview House. Some say Rayan never left — he became part of the whispers.
